Q: Can you provide a brief description about who you are, what your company does?
A:
Env-Aqua Solutions Ltd is an SME specialising in industrial waste treatment and pollution control equipment and has been instrumental in the design, installation and promotion of waste minimisation and resource recovery systems and programmes with a global industrial client base. The company also offers consultancy support to clients on technology transfer and exploitation strategy. Env-Aqua has extensive experience within the electronics, chemicals, surface engineering and recycling sectors with the latter embracing both materials and energy recovery.

The Company has undertaken numerous best-practice and dissemination projects on behalf of the UK Government’s Environment Agency and Envirowise relating to energy and water savings, materials recovery, utility recycling, life cycle assessments and green chemistry. The company designs and installs, on a turnkey basis, waste treatment and recovery-based plant and equipment. Clients include Minebea, BAe Systems, Romaquip, TRW Group, TWI, Environ UK, Entec, Environment Agency, Deutsch Group, Envirowise, Xm Services (Michelin Group) and a wide cross-section of manufacturing companies within Europe. The company has particular expertise in the development of process environmental and economic assessment across the broad base of sustainability and circular economy demands.

Q: What makes your product/research special within your industry?
A: 
Env-Aqua’s particular uniqueness of approach is that unlike many organisations advocating principles such as recycling and material recovery inherent within the concept of a circular economy, Env-Aqua have actually many years of experience in actually implementing such into real installations across a range of manufacturing sectors globally.

Q: Why is it important to you to participate in a project like VALUABLE?
A:
 Env-Aqua operates across diverse industrial manufacturing sectors wherein the principles embraced by the concept of a circular economy can be further enhanced via new approaches and concepts which may be brought to fruition withion the VALUABLE Project. A Project such as VALUABLE enables Env-Aqua to expand its knowledge base into an even more diverse arena of implementing an environmentally hierarchical approach across a critically expanding sector of the economy.

Q: What will be the best thing you achieve within this project?
A:
 We do not consider there is one specific ítem of note that may be achieved within VALUABLE but rather a folio of credible new concepts in areas of recycling, reuse and remanufacturing which will in turn complement the cfreation of a more complete end-of-life suppy chain network for lithium-ion batteries within the UK.  In regards of additionality towards Env-Aqua’s more traditional client base the area of recycling may perhaps be stated as potentially having the most benefit.​
